Habitat: Woodland
Summary: Quick-witted pack hunters with ear-like head crests.
Threat Rating: ● ● ● ○ ○
They're nosy creatures, and many members of the expedition found different members of the pack separately. I'd been observing one and had settled on the name Canicertilia, due to their canine and reptillian nature, but by the time I reached the larger part of the group, one of our dwarven members had assigned one that became glued to her ankle a term of endearment from her home, Plommon. I've been brought to understand that this translates fairly literally to "Plum." While it's not what I may have picked, it's short, sweet, and to the point - especially if at least one attends to follow along. "Caniforms" isn't nearly as universal as "dogs" is, after all.
I do worry how they'll interact with livestock, children, and the such, but our companion doesn't seem keen to shoo her new friend away, so I suppose we'll simply have to see how it plays out.
(Personal note: I'm not keen to downplay their potential danger. They've got intelligent eyes, sharp teeth, and quick reflexes... but, perhaps they're docile when well-fed. I intend to investigate further.)
